Pine Script v6 is the current version of the language. A script declares its version on its first line, //@version=6, and TradingView compiles it with that version's rules.
Newer is not the same as better: a v6 script can still repaint or overfit. But v6 scripts are the easiest to read and extend, because they use the current names for every built-in function.
