USD/SEK is the US dollar against the Swedish krona, the currency of a small, open, export-driven economy that is closely tied to the eurozone. The krona is steered by the Riksbank, one of the earliest central banks to experiment with negative rates, and it tends to weaken when global risk appetite fades because Sweden depends heavily on trade. Since much krona trading happens through EUR/SEK, the dollar pair also inherits moves in EUR/USD. Key events are Riksbank decisions, Swedish inflation and growth data, Federal Reserve policy and shifts in risk sentiment. The pair is most liquid during the London session when Stockholm is open. Daily ranges are larger than on the majors and spreads are wider. On ForexR you can follow the live USD/SEK rate, use daily pivot points, gauge the range with ATR and confirm trend on the multi-timeframe chart. When you are ready to trade it, compare regulated brokers that list the pair.
Riksbank and Federal Reserve policy, Swedish inflation and GDP, EUR/USD (since much krona liquidity trades through EUR/SEK) and global risk sentiment, to which the krona is very sensitive.
Sweden is a small, open economy that relies on exports and foreign capital, so its currency tends to weaken when global growth slows or markets turn defensive.
The London session, roughly 07:00-16:00 UTC, when Stockholm is open and Swedish data is released early in the European morning.
