AI EAs range from small neural networks written in MQL5 to bridges that send market data to Python models or to large language models over an API. MT5 can run ONNX models directly, which is how many recent EAs ship a trained model.
A model that fits the past well is easy to build and rarely trades well. Look for out-of-sample or walk-forward tests in the README, and be wary of any EA that sells "AI" without showing how its model was trained and tested.
