One third of the trade closes at each target, and the stop moves to the entry after target 1.
This is a mechanical rule trade to sell XAUUSD at market (4063.73) based on the MACD + 200 EMA strategy. It triggers on the 4-hour chart when the MACD crosses below its signal line while both are above zero, and price is below the 200 EMA (4121.18). The daily trend points down, supporting the short bias, and the first target at 4008.22 aligns closely with the S2 support. However, the strategy has historically performed poorly on gold. The stop loss at 4119.24 is positioned safely above the daily pivot (4097.77) and just below the 200 EMA, where the bearish premise would be invalidated.

The widely shared "MACD + 200 EMA" strategy (MACD strategies: 117 scripts, 3,803 stars in our Pine library). On 4-hour bars, buy at market when the MACD line (12, 26) crosses above its signal line (9) while both are below zero and price is above the 200 EMA; sell on the mirror image. Stop 1.5 ATR, targets 1R, 2R and 3R; the rest closes on the opposite MACD cross, or after 48 bars.
