One third of the trade closes at each target, and the stop moves to the entry after target 1.
Breakout bracket: buy above 4,107.35 or sell below 4,035.27. Both orders were published together and the first one to fill cancels the other.
The other side is Buy stop #6 (expired).
This sell stop on Gold at 4035.27 is generated by the ForexR Gold London Breakout mechanical rule, which places orders 50 cents outside the Asian session range. The stop loss at 4107.35 sits just above the range high. Currently, the Asian range is a massive $71.08, and hourly volatility is running well above average. While the daily trend leans bearish, reaching the first target at 3963.19 requires a further $72 drop. This would push the day's total range beyond $143, almost double the daily average (ATR $84.43), making it a stretch to achieve before the trade expires at the New York close.
ChartPrice structure on the chart: trend, levels, volatility.
The rules of the ForexR Gold London Breakout EA. The Asian session range (18:00 to 02:00 New York time) is bracketed with a buy stop 50 cents above its high and a sell stop 50 cents below its low; the first to trigger cancels the other. It only trades when the range is at least $5 and hourly volatility (ATR 14) is at or above its 480-hour average. Orders wait until 08:00 New York; open trades close at 17:00 New York. Targets are 1R, 2R and 3R.
Caveat: 2023 was about break-even. The volatility filter was found on the same data, so it is not a clean out-of-sample test.

Reaching the target requires today's total range to approach $143, nearly double the daily average, making it unlikely before the New York close.
