GBP/CHF Overview
GBP/CHF pairs the British pound with the Swiss franc, setting a high-beta currency against one of the market's classic safe havens. Sterling follows Bank of England policy, UK inflation and politics; the franc gains when risk appetite fades and follows Swiss National Bank decisions and its stance on the currency. Because the SNB has intervened in the franc in the past, including the abrupt removal of its EUR/CHF floor in January 2015, franc crosses can gap sharply, so sensible stop placement matters. The pair is most liquid during the London session, when both the UK and Swiss markets are open.
