// ALTERNATIVE 12: Accelerated Pyramid
// THEORY: Strong trends justify faster pyramiding to capture more of explosive moves.
// The baseline adds every 0.5N (half of one ATR move). This alternative cuts that in half,
// adding every 0.25N, and allows up to 6 units instead of 4. Risk per unit is reduced to
// 0.75% (from 1%) to maintain reasonable total exposure. This tests whether faster scaling
// into strong trends improves returns despite increased position concentration.
// Trade-off: Capture more of explosive moves, but higher exposure risk in reversals.

Overview

Seykota Alt 12: Accelerated Pyramid enters long or short positions upon Donchian channel breakouts and scales in with accelerated pyramiding every fraction of the Average True Range. Position sizing scales dynamically based on account equity and ATR risk per unit. The strategy protects trades with an initial ATR-based stop loss and exits on opposing Donchian channel breaks or optional time-based exit limits. Users can adjust lookback lengths, pyramiding steps, unit limits, volume filters, and an external market regime moving average.
