Overview

Schaff Trend Cycle (STC) subtracts a slow EMA from a fast EMA, applies a stochastic over the cycle length, smooths that result, and applies a second stochastic. A second-stage smoother then feeds optional final smoothing: none, a short EMA, a sigmoid, or a digital step that snaps toward extremes. Cycle length, fast and slow EMA lengths, source, and smoothing type are user inputs. It does not generate entries, exits, or stops.
