// PURPOSE
// Simple Moving Average (SMA) - calculates the arithmetic mean of prices
// over a specified period. The most basic and widely used moving average.

//-------------------------------------
// FEATURES
// - Multi-timeframe support via Indicator Timeframe input
// - Custom SMA calculation with offset support
// - Optional smoothing via additional MA pass
// - Offset parameter for historical analysis
// - Dynamic color based on rising/falling values

//-------------------------------------
// NOTES
// - SMA = sum of N prices / N
// - Equal weight given to all prices in the period
// - Slower to react than EMA but smoother
// - Commonly used lengths: 9, 20, 50, 100, 200
// - Price above MA = bullish, below = bearish
// - MA crossovers used for trend signals

Overview

A second averaging pass can smooth the result, and an offset shifts the calculation window. An indicator timeframe input selects the data timeframe. The plotted line changes color according to whether the average is rising or falling. It is drawn on the price chart and does not generate entries, exits, or a stop loss.
